Mercury has a weak but global magnetic field made of two main components,a dipolar and a quadrupolar ones [1-3].The weakness of the planetary field combined with the smallness of the planet leads to a short convection time of the solar wind through the magnetosphere and to a significant penetration of solar wind particles inside the magnetosphere [4-6].
