Maize rough disease dwarf disease (MRDD) , was a serious viral disease transmitted by small brown planthopper (SBPH) (Laodelphax striatellus).Once occurred on maize plants, it was difficult to control by drug and thus known as cancer on maize.In recent years, the disease outbreak and is very prevalent in maize growing areas in the northwest and eastern Zhejiang.
