Carboxylic acids are pervasive in nature. They are low cost, stable and easy to handle. As a result, carboxylic acids are considered as ideal substrates for organic synthesis.1 In the past decades,transition-metal-catalyzed decarboxylative cross-coupling reactions have enjoyed tremendous advances owing to their widespread applications to the rapid assembly of diversified complex molecular structures, particularly in the fields of medicinal chemistry and material sciences.2 Herein,we disclosed a copper-catalyzed radical addition initiated sp3-decarboxylative functionalization: alkylation, amination and sulfonylation.
