Star-shaped polymers refer to one kind of branched polymer in which multiple linear polymeric chains are attached to a central core1,2.The unique chain topology imparts valuable properties depending critically on the molecular parameters such as number of arms,molecular weight of each arm,chemical identity of each arm,and polydispersity.In general,with the growth of living anionic polymerization and other controlled polymerization techniques,three methodologies have been developed toward the preparation of star-shaped polymers including "arm-first","core-first",and "coupling-onto" strategies3,4.
