  SiCp/2024 composite was produced by powder metallurgy process.The microstructure and mechanical properties of the composite were investigated by means of SEM,EDS,tensile testing and hardness testing respectively.The results show that the tensile strength and hardness are improved significantly after Heat treatment.With the increase of Heat treatment temperature,the second phases
