Background Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) contribute to post-natal neovascularization and re-endothelialization.The proliferation and apoptosis of EPCs are regulated by a largenumber of signal cascades, but little is known about the role played by the calcineurin signal in this regulation.The objective of this study is to investigate the role of calcineurinon regulating the proliferation and apoptosis in cultured human EPCs.
