With the emerging of graphitic materials including grapheme and carbon nanombes, understanding the graphitization phenomena becomes very important.In this work, full-graphitization of amorphous carbon was tried using microwaves.Pitch-based carbon powder (THFS)was graphitized by microwave irradiation with metal chloride impregnation.Without impregnation, d002 of THFS decreased from 3.4716(A) to 3.4299(A) after microwave irradiation (2.45 GHz, 1500W, 30min).
