Polymer-stabilized blue phase liquid crystals (PS-BPLC) are emerging as potential materials for use in various optical devices because of its ultrafast response, polarization independence (optically isotropy) and ease of fabrication. However,a relatively high driving voltage with respect to a common nematic liquid crystal limits its applicability, especially in display.Numerous methods have been developed for reducing the driving voltage, including electrode design, operating mode design and the synthesis of materials with large dielectric anisotropy.
