Cascade damming is posing a threat to river health and local water security. However, relatively little is known about the hydrologic impacts of cascade dams in small watersheds. The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) was used in this study to simulate the hydrologic impacts of cascade dams in a small headwater watershed, Southeast China.
