  Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly aggressive and lethal neoplasm with extremely poor prognosis.The aim of this study is to explore the anti-HCC activity of icaritin, and to mainly focus on the underlying mechanisms.We showed that icaritin is cytotoxic and pro-apoptotic against established (KYN-2, HepG2, and Huh-7lines) and primary human HCC cells.
