A sensitive and selective method of quantitative analysis of moroxydine in honey by high performance liquid chromatography coupled - tandem mass spectrum(HPLC-MS/MS) was developed.The moroxydine in honey was extracted with acetocaustin and purified by albumen precipitation and solid phase extraction,followed by HPLC-MS/MS.In the optimized condition,the linear range of analyte was from 5 μg/kg to 200 μg/kg (r2=0.9992) and the limit of quantity (S/N≥10) is 5 μg/kg; the average recovery rates of piperonyl butoxide were from 86.1% to 107.2% ied with relative standard deviation between 2.9% and 5.2%.
