Boswellic acids(Bas),a group of pentacyclic triterpenoids are mainly isolated from gum resin of Boswellia carterria.Bas mainly comprise of four triterpenic acids i.e.,-boswellic acid(BA),11-keto-boswellic acid(KBA),acetyl-boswellic acid(ABA) and acetyl-11-keto-boswellic acid(AKBA).1 Bas exhibit various biological activities,such as anti-inflammation2 and anti-cancer.3 Recently,the anti-tumor mechanism of Bas were investigated,which indicated that this kind of compounds are potent apoptosis inducers,and expected to become the preferred anti-tumor agents.
