Determination of Trimesic Acid Content with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

  Content and inpurity of trimesic acid (TMA) were determinated with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).A qualitative and quantitative method for determinating TMA with HPLC was established.Conditions of chromatography were: Shimadzu C18 (4.6×250 mm) was used as column, column temperature was at 30 ℃, wavelength was at 254 nm, mobile phase was composed of watet-acetonitrile (60%/40%), ultraviolet detector was used as detector, and the flow rate was 1 ml/min.The recovery rate of the sample was 99%, and the correlation coefficient was 0.999 within linear range from 1 to 6 mg/ml.This method was simple, efficient, sensitive and has high accuracy.
