　　A heterogeneous base catalyst Na2SiO3 was prepared by microwave heating, and the resultant catalyst was used to catalyze transesterification reaction for fatty acid methyl esters (biodiesel) production from refined cottonseed oil.The optimal conditions of catalyst preparation and transesterification reaction were confirmed by orthogonal experiments.
