Continental collision is considered as a build-up mechanism of Asia.Several opinions are proposed for the existence of the collision belts in the Shandong, the Korean Peninsula, the Manchuria and the Japanese Islands (eg.Mattauer et al.,1991;Cluzel et al.,1991;Faure et al.,2001,2005;Ryoo,2008).Considering the closing of late Paleozoic ocean, strong lineations and asymmetric isoclinal folds are parallel to the Okcheon (eg.Cluzel et al.,1991;Ryoo,1995;Ryoo and Mattauer,2006;Kang et al.,2012)and Taean-Imjingang belts, regional metamorphism in the Triassic (250-225 Ma),and UHP rocks around Hongseong in the Gyeonggi Massif (Oh et al.,2004,2005) and eclogite near Cheongcheon River (Gottsche,1986) in the Nangrim Massif,we propose a new continental collision geodynamics around Korea.
