Proper sub-surface characterization is of vital importance in all offshore engineering projects in order to guarantee environmental and operational integrity(e.g.,avoid pollution, spills, loss of lives)as well as perform in depth hazard assessments to allow safe developments.Such developments require innovative methods and technologies, with respect to data acquisition, processing, inversion, analysis, geostatistics, visualization as well as monitoring.Ultimately,fully-integrated approaches become the norm for these complex challenges.
