Amphibians play a significant role in ecosystem functioning as secondary consumers in many food chains.Anurans are one of the most studied Orders in the Amphibian and found in the large proportion in the rice fields.They are often considered as the generalist predator in the rice fields and feed upon varieties of invertebrates especially insects that belong to the orders;coleoptera,lepidoptera,orthoptera,homoptera,hemiptera are also regarded as notorious rice pest which cause significant loss of rice production.
