Introduction Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common form of leukemia in the Western countries (1).The diagnosis of CLL is based on presence of ＞ 5 x109cells/L neoplastic B-cells in the peripheral blood with characteristic morphologic and immunophenotypic features.Typically,CLL cells are small lymphocytes with round nuclei,clumped chromatin,scantc ytoplasm,and express CD5,CD23,CD20 (dim),CD22 (dim),and immunoglobulin light chain(dim),with CD10 and FMC-7 being negative.
