Experienced developers of new glasses who use property prediction models in their work know a strange phenomenon: whatever particular task they tried to solve and whatever kind of models they used, the most prospective glass compositions, according to these models, had not as good combination of measured properties as it was predicted; if, nonetheless, the property measurements well confirmed predictions, the glasses appeared difficult to melt.
