This study was conducted to investigate the value of lycopene in overcoming renal damage induced by colistin sufate.Lycopene was orally administered at 10 or 20 mg/kg body weight for 7 days and again 2 h before the intravenous injection of 15 mg/kg body weight colistin sulfate (divided into two doses,12 h apart).
