We demonstrate polarization-based binary all-optical logic functions, such as controlled-NOT, AND and OR gates through electro-optic Pockels effect of PPLN.By using these gates with others, Complicated Boolean calculation should be expected.OCIS codes: (230.3750) Optical logic gates; (230.0250) Optoelectronics; (130.3730) Lithium niobate In order to avoid this high intensity depletion in all-optical logic gates where signals are encoded in the intensity of optical waves, an all-optical polarization-based representation and implementation of binary logic gates have been proposed [1,2].By employing two orthogonal linear polarization states of a beam to represent logic 0 and logic 1, polarization-based binary all-optical logic functions based on electro-optic Pockels effect of periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) has been researched and verified.
