Comparison of the Luminescence Signal for Fine-Grain Feldspar and Quartz

  Quartz and feldspar minerals have different luminescence behavior.In this paper,OSL intensity as a function of the temperature during stimulation method were measured requires a large time,while the shape of OSL decay curve is a poor discriminator.LM-OSL excitation and TL peak mechanism were relatively simple,but unable to distinguish accurate feldspar and quartz.The most efficient means of distinguishing quartz and feldspar grains is by taking the ratio of the OSL signal when measured with and without prior infrared stimulation.
