This paper considers the composite real representation of the widely linear model of quaternion-valued signal processing.By representing the widely linear model with a type of block-Hankel-skew-circulant matrices,we establish a powerful framework,which provides another approach besides the augmented quaternion representation,to deal with the improper quaternion-valued signals.We propose some preliminary properties of these matrices.The equivalence between the two representation approaches is also established.
