  Tch.tepidum是发现于美国黄石国家公园的紫色光合细菌,生理温度约为50℃[1],其外周捕光天线LH2具有非均一的脱辅基蛋白和类胡萝卜素[2],,LH2中每个结构单元里有三个细菌叶绿素,吸收分别在800nm以及850nm处,分别称为B800及B850,目前该细菌的LH2晶体结构未知.
