  Plasmopara viticola, the causal agent of downy mildew, is considered one of the most important pathogens of grape.It has drastic effects on the host plants, on berries, but also on wine qualities and their sensorial and organoleptic properties, resulting in great economic losses for the wine growers and producers.Now, biological control has become more efficient, safer, and environmentally friendly, in comparison to conventional pesticides.Endophytes have great potential to control such fungal diseases.In order to obtain antagonistic endophytic bacteria against P.viticola, 157 endopytic strains isolated from surface sterilized leaves, stems, and berries of healthy grapevine were screened by leaf discs method.Based on screening test, eight isolates (strains SY2, SY188, SY25, HB31, HB85, HB133,HB135 and HB144) showed different levels of inhibitory activity.
