Energy harvesting technologies have received increasing interest recently in driving self-powered electronic devices and systems.Currently, the wireless mouse on the market use dry battery to provide operating energy.Due to the high power consumption, there is a frequent need to replace the batteries, which is not only inconvenient to the user, but also causes serious waste of resources. If the recycling is not appropriate, the waste batteries will result in the environmental pollution. For the reasons above,we propose a self-powered wireless mouse, based on a hybrid electromagnetic and turboelectric power generation mechanisms. The self-powered concept is introduced to the wireless mouse design so as to ensure the adequate power supply when users are moving or clicking the mouse frequently. It overcomes the traditional connection bondage problem of wired mouse, and also solves the problem of a large number of battery waste and pollution to the environment. Our proposed self-powered wireless mouse reflects the green theme and agrees with the strategy of energy conservation and sustainable development.
