Objective:To investigate the effects of patient-specific method for administration of heparin and protamine.Evaluate the utilization of Sonoclot Coagulation & Platelet Function Analyzer and the risk factors of postoperative bleeding in open-heart operation.Methods:From April 2005 to March 2006,a prospective,randomized,controlled trial was performed in 48 adult patients randomized into two groups having primary valve cardiac operations.The initial dose of heparin was 3mg/kg and if the ACT was less than 480 seconds,20mg supplemental heparin was administered until ACT exceeded 480 seconds in control group.The initial protamine dose was 1.5mg protamine per lmg heparin.
