Macleaya cordata belongs to the Papaveraceae family and is commercial antimicrobial herb medicines as the feed additive for their various alkaloids.Notwithstanding a number kinds of alkaloids have been isolated,characterized,and applied,there are few studies on the plant defensive peptides and proteins in antimicrobial activity.
