A well-defined,stimuli-responsive tertpolymer with thermo- and pH-responsive characteristics has been synthesized by radical copolymerization of methacrylic acid,N-isopropylacrylamide,and N-(methacryloyl)glycylglycine 4-nitrophenyl ester. The structure and properties of the tertpolymer were investigated by NMR,FT-IR,UV-visible absorption,TEM and gel permeation chromatography.Theconformational transition (lower critical solution temperature,LCST) of thetertpolymerwas determined by the turbidity which could be fine-tuned through the monomer composition between 39-40℃.
