Aim The aim of this study is to investigate the incidence of parasitic infection in the human lower gastrointestinal tract from a large endoscopy center of China.Methods Patients with the diagnosis of parasite infection by colonoscopy at our center in the past 30 years were retrospectively analyzed.Their medical records were reviewed and assessed, including the age, gender, presenting symptoms, indications for the colonoscopy, type of parasites and endoscopic findings.
