A time step amplification scheme in boundary face method for transient heat conduction

  A time domain boundary integral equation method,which is named as quasi-initial condition method [1-3],is applied in this paper to solve the transient heat conduction problem.The numerical implementation begins with the following boundary integral equation:C(y)u(y,tm)=(1/pc)∫(tm)(tm-1)∫Γu(x,y)q*(y,x.,tm,t)dΓ(x)dt-(1/pc)∫(tm)(tm-1)∫Γu*(y,x.,τ,t)q(x,t)dΓ(x)dt+∫Ωu*(y,x.,tm,tm-1)u(x,tm-1)dΩ(x)+(1/pc)(∫(tm)(tm-1))∫Ωu*(y,x.,tm,t)Q(x,t)dΩ(x)dt(1)In conventional implementations,however,this quasi-initial condition method suffers from a numerically unstable problem when the time step is small [4-5].
