This presentation discusses two novel areas of cardiovascular therapy: endoscopic cardiac surgery and suction thrombectomy.Endoscopic visualization has been applied to traditional open cardiac surgical procedures in an endeavor to minimize the invasiveness of major cardiac therapy.Endoscopy was first applied to cardiac surgery in the technique of small incision saphenous vein harvesting for coronary artery revascularization.
