Background To investigate the effects of intracellular cytokine IL-17A and IL-6 in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) and their clinical significance.Methods Totally 72 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), 85 patients with unstable angina pectoris (UAP)and 50 patients with stable angina pectoris (SAP) were enrolled as the subjects, with 37 subjects with no coronary heart disease as controls.The intracellular cytokine (IL-6, IL-17A) in PBMCs (peripheral blood mononuclear ceils) and serum concentrations of IL-6 and IL-17A were measured by flow cytometry, RT-PCR and ELISA respectively.The results were analyzed and compared.
