Powdery mildew of wheat,caused by Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici,occurs very commonly in the Northeastern Spring Wheat Region in past two decades.Early detection in latent infected wheat is crucial for accurate prediction and decision making of right timing of fungicide spraying,which is the base for effectively curbing disease epidemics.
