Background: Liver ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury induces the occurence of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.The immoderate ER stress was verified to aggravate I/R injury in many studies.Grape seed proanthocyanidin (GSP) was certified as an effective protector in I/R injury.However, the detailed protective mechanisms remain to be ambiguous.Therefore, an endeavor was made to explore the modulation effect of GSP on protection liver I/R injury and alleviating ER stress.
