Objective: To explore and evaluate the efficacy and safety of mechanical thrombectomy with the Solitaire AB Revascularization Device in lower extremity arteries embolism(LEAE).Methods: Five patients with lower extremity arteries embolism were treated with direct thrombectomy by using Solitaire AB stent retrievers between February 2015 and February 2016.After the thrombectomy procedure, all patients received continuous transcatheter infusion of urokinase(250 000 to 500 000 U/d)for 2 to 5 days until the thrombosis was confirmed to be completely dissolved by angiography.
