Three Zinc (Ⅱ) coordination polymers with (S)-(+)-mandelic acid (H2mand) and three N-donor ancillary ligands, [Zn(mand)(bpe)(H2O)]n·n(ClO4)·nH2O (1),[Zn(mand)(4,4-bipy)(H2O)]n·n(ClO4) (2), [Zn(mand)2(2,4-bipy)(H2O)]·2H2O (3),(bpe =1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethane, 4,4-bipy =4,4-bipyridine, 2,4-bipy =2,4-bipyridine), have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions.Complexes 1-3 were structurally characterized by elemental analysis, infrared (IR) spectra, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction.Complex 1 shows a 2D layered structure and further stacks via hydrogen bonding interactions to give a 3D supramolecular architecture.Complex 2 shows a 2D network.Complex 3 exhibits monomolecular structures and further to form 3D supramolecular structure through offset π…π stacking and hydrogen-bonding interactions.In addition, Thermo-gravimetric properties and luminescence of 1-3 were also investigated.
