Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been attracting attention because of their advantages in emission with a wide visible region for application in flat-panel display at low voltage and lighting [1].A light emitting from the front side of OLEDs would be used for illuminations, but a light from the rear surface of OLEDs may be wasted. However, the cathodes made of an opaque thick aluminum that are used in OLEDs lead to strong ambient light reflection and a decrease in the visible contrast of the screen image. Therefore, it would be desirable to make use of such a wasted light for generating electrical power.A transparent OLEDs lighting panel combined with a solar cell would be such a case in point [2].In this report, we propose an efficient white light emission from a white light-emitting diode (WOLED) with a semi-transparent interconnecting layer of Al electrode was realized in a stacked an organic photovohaic cell (OPV).The device is called a PVOLED.
