An aqueous LiMn204-2n rechargeable battery in a sulfate solution has been developed.It is characterized by safety,low cost,environment friendship and excellent power characteristic.This makes it to be very suitable for large -scale energy storage.The battery can operate at about l.7V and preliminarily test show excellent cycling performance for the zinc negative electrode and the LiMn204 positive electrode over 100 cycles in a concentrated sulfate solution.It demonstrates the feasibility of a LiMn204-2n aqueous battery in the sulfate medium.
