Purpose:Ultimate objectives of geriatric medicine is to improve and sustain quality of life (QOL) and activities of daily living (ADL) as well as treat and control chronic diseases.However,geriatric functions,especially QOLs,are influenced by ecological and cultural environments.The aim of this study was to clarify actual situation of subjective QOL in the community-dwelling elderly in Asian countries in the standpoint of "field medicine".
