Dahlia (Dahlia x hybrida), a perennial, ornamental flowering plant, harbors three viroids; Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd; Nakashima et al., 2007), Potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd; Tsushima et al., 2011) and Dahlia latent viroid (DLVd; Verhoeven et al., 2012).All of these viroids were symptomless in dahlia plant, but has a potential risk for the other sensitive host plants, such as chrysanthemum(CSVd), potato (PSTVd), and tomato (PSTVd).
