Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) protein is a kind of insecticidal crystal proteins and CrylAb is one of the most common Bt proteins.The crops expressing CrylAb, especially transgenic maize and cotton, have been widely planted across the world.However, genetically modified (GM) crops containing Cry1Ab have not gained worldwide acceptance due to its potential environment hazard and risks to the human health.So it is necessary to establish effective laws and regulations to assess the safety of the GM crops.The content of transgenic protein is one of the most important assessment indexes for GM crops.Thus, in this paper, we developed an accurate and high-throughput quantitative method to quantify the Cry 1Ab in the maize.
