Synopsis Cross sections for single electron capture by Cn and single and double electron capture by Cn+ have been measured in high velocity (v=2.25 and 2.6 a.u) collisions between Cn+ carbon clusters and atoms (He, Ar).Electron capture cross sections by high velocity neutral projectiles are scarce and the present ones consist of the first ever obtained with polyatomics.Measurements with n=1 (C, C+) were used to revisit the modelling of the electron capture process in cluster-atom collisions. For Cn+-He collisions, this modelling was very satisfactory and allowed to reproduce so far unexplained experimental results [1].We will present and discuss new results obtained with the argon target.
