  This study is to test the hypothesis that dietary L-arginine supplementation confers beneficial effects on growing pigs when feeding with mould-contaminated feed.The measured variables includes: 1) average daily weight gain (ADG) and feed conversion rate (FCR); 2) serum total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px),and dianine oxidase (DAO) activities and D-lactate level; 3) macroscopic presentation and histological evaluation; 4) serum amino acids levels; 4) expression of y+L amino acid transporter 1/2 (y+LAT1/y+ LAT2),cationic amino acid transporter (CAT1),excitatory amino acid carrier type 1 (EAAC1),sodium-glucose linked transporter (SGLT1) mRNA levels in ileum and jejunum.Dietary arginine supplementation confers positive effect on growth performance of mycotoxins fed pigs.Meanwhile,arginine supplementation alleviates imbalance of antioxidant system,intestinal injury and dysfunction of nutritious absorption system in growing pigs caused by mould-contaminated feed.
