目的 The prognostic significance of interleukin 17(IL-17)in tumor patients is controversial. The objective of this study was to evaluate the association of high IL-17 expression with clinicopathological feature and prognostic significance in tumor cases.方法 We comprehensively searched literature from PubMed,Web of Science,Google Scholar, and references from the relevant articles. We extracted the hazard ratio(HR)and 95%confidence intervals(CI)for overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)to evaluate the survival benefits, and odds ratio(OR)with 95%CI were computed to determine the effect of IL-17 status on clinical outcomes.Weighted mean difference(WMD)was used for continuous variables.结果 We found IL-17 expression was not significantly associated with tumor stage and lymphoid nodal metastasis using dichotomous data.Interestingly, when using the continuous values,it indicated a significantly lower level of IL-17 expression in the early stage and nodal negative group relative to the advanced stage and nodal metastasis group.Furthermore, the overall analysis showed that high IL-17 expression predicted poor OS(HR=0.75;CI=[0.63,0.90];P=0.002).Moreover,high expression of IL-17 was significantly associated with poor OS in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)(HR=0.50;CI=[0.35,0.70];P<0.0001)and non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)(HR=0.57;CI=[0.37,0.87];P=0.009).
