According to FAO,about 25% of grain lost their food or even feed value due to be contaminated by microorganism during inadequacy storage.In order to prevent the biological contaminants invading the food chain and to reduce the hazard of volatile formaldehyde from urea-formaldehyde resin in the same time,a novel process of using starch extracted from spoiled corn as renewable raw material and adopting the principles of environmental benign chemistry was developed to prepare a starch based and formaldehyde free polyester type wood adhesive.
