Gamma-prime rafting is one of the main reasons that lead to degradation of the properties of nickel-based single crystal superalloys. The gamma-prime-precipitate kinetics and gamma-prime rafting are investigated by the coherent phase-field method containing the applied loading.Conbining inhomogeneous elastic model, the influence of the factors, such as gamma/gamma-prime lattice misfit, applied loading and the gamma/gamma-prime modulus difference, on gamma-prime rafting during creep tests is explored. The obtained results show that in the positive misfit alloy, gamma-prime rafting direction is parallel to the tensile direction and is normal to the compress direction.
