Cloning and sequence analysis of a xylanase gene (Rua11A) from rumen in Simmental cattle

  Beef cattle feeding has great differences between North and South China, with corn silage and hay based diet in North, and sugar cane, banana stalks, weeds based diet in South.As a adaptative breed in the north,Simmental cattle has a unique series of lignocellulose degrading microbes and enzymes in the rumen, which can transform lignocellulose into a series of nutrients that can be absorbed and utilized by animals.This article used various PCR techniques to clone the xylanase gene, Rual 1A, from microbial metagenome of Simmental cattle rumen, and conducted analysis of the gene sequence and the encoded amino acid sequences using the bioinformatics related software and database.
