The phase equilibria of Mg-Sn-Y temary system at 300℃ have been determined through equilibrated alloy method by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy of X-ray(EDS).There exist two three-phase regions composed of -Mg+Mg2Sn+MgSnY and -Mg+Sn3Y5+-Mg24+xY5 and one two-phase region composed of -Mg+Sn3Y5,respectively.In the three-phase region of-Mg+Mg2Sn+MgSnY.the maximum solubility of Sn in the -Mg phase is 3.2 at.%and the maximum solubility of Y in the-Mg phase is 5.1 at.%in the three-phase region of -Mg+Sn3Y5+-Mg24+xY5 at 300℃.
