Background For ventricular tachyarrhythmia originating from left ventricular summit, ablation catheter is hard to abut and fix stably by retrograde way of conventional femoral. It often cannot achieve ideal result of ablation, however piercing of interatrial septum can successfully mapping and treat this kind of arrhythmias.Guided by Carto mapping, the methods, electrophysiological characteristics and the treatment outcomes of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) or ventricular tachycardia (VT) originating from left ventricular summit by puncturing interatrial septum were investigated.
